An atmospheric evening of heart-warming winter songs at Malakta and a cosy Christmas market with local produce..
Two singer-songwriters from Ostrobothnia – Josefin Sirén and Sofie Lundell – invite you to an atmospheric evening of heart-warming winter songs at Malakta. Before the concert, you can visit Malakta’s cosy Christmas market, where we’ll be serving mulled wine, selling local produce and organising a Christmas craft session for both children and adults.
ABOUT THE CONCERT
7.00 pm
In an intimate and stripped-back concert, original songs are interwoven with personal interpretations of selected covers. The repertoire straddles the line between classic Christmas carols and those songs that strike a more personal chord – music that brings warmth and atmosphere to the winter darkness.
Josefin Sirén is an artist with roots in Vörå, Ostrobothnia, who performs in her local dialect and has released two albums: *Rättvisor och Hembygdsserenader* (2022) and *Allti påväg* (2026)
Experiencing Josefin Sirén live is an intimate experience. With sincerity, her music evokes memories of home, a search for identity and nostalgia, served up in a blend of pop, country and melancholy.
Sofie Lundell writes songs in Swedish with a focus on the lyrics. In 2023, she released her debut album *Mitt barfotaland* and has since released several singles, with a new album on the way. Sofie draws inspiration from Nordic nature and stories from her surroundings; with her stripped-back, narrative-driven songwriting, she invites you into music that settles in, resonates and lingers.
ABOUT THE CHRISTMAS MARKET
3.00–7.00 pm
Before the concert, you can visit Malakta’s cosy Christmas market, where we’ll be serving mulled wine, selling local produce – including crafts, art and food – and hosting a Christmas craft station where both children and adults can make their own decorations to hang on the Christmas tree.
Would you like to sell your crafts, homemade food or art at the Christmas market? You’re very welcome to get in touch at magdalena@malakta.fi for more information. It’s free, but there are a limited number of stalls available; you’ll need to bring your own table.
