Discover a range of interesting spaces and art in Malakta. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a bite to eat in our pop-up café.
Come and take a look inside the artists’ studios and discover the many interesting spaces in Malakta.
Konstrundan programme runs from 5–6 September, whilst the Open House is on 5 September only.
Free admission.
PROGRAMME 5 September
11.00–15.00
– Pop-up café with Hanne @hyggemedhanne
– Art exhibition featuring works by members of the Art in Malakta association*
– Screening of animated films from this summer’s children’s camp at Brinken
– Exhibition of Jaakko Autio’s art and information about AiM’s residency collaboration in Kristinestad, video*
– Artist’s studio open: Moa Bleyner Cederberg*
– Exhibition of Jaana Grönlund’s log furniture*
– Malakta’s treasure map: find artistic details around the house, complete the map and win a secret little prize.
12-00–14.00 Performance: wood sculpting with a chainsaw by Sebastian Dahl
12.00 Guided tour of Malakta (30 mins) with Magdalena Lindroos
12.30 A brief explanation of “WHAT IS PUBLIC ART?” by Jukka Rajala*
13.00–14.00 Try your hand at improvisation – a drop-in workshop with Kjell Geberg
14.30 A brief explanation of “WHAT IS COMMUNITY ART?” by Jukka Rajala
