The popular Miniball World Championship is back! Here, participants get to experience the feeling of representing a national team in a world championship. The event offers exciting matches, plenty of emotions and a great atmosphere for both children and adults. Food, drinks, a bouncy castle and more are available on site. What is miniball? In practice, it is football, but on a smaller scale. The pitch, goals and ball are smaller, and this sport should not be unfamiliar to people from Jakobstad. The rules also differ partly from football in order to suit the significantly smaller playing field. One example is that the ball is not thrown in by hand at a throw in. Instead, the ball is placed on the sideline and passed into play. Every summer, more than 150 players take part and around 1000 spectators attend.
