Having just finished the first leg of his massive European tour, Sandberg returns home to try out some new "Hard Swingin', Groovy & Soulful Jazz" originals.

He has been called "one of Finland's best kept secrets", the highly acclaimed jazz guitarist and composer Mathias Sandberg is one of the hardest working musicians in the country. He studied at Manhattan School of Music in New York and Berklee College of Music in Boston and has worked with artists such as Brian Charette, Georg Riedel, Nick Mancini, Peter Asplund, and Manuel Dunkel. Sandberg plays a hundred concerts a year and has toured both Europe and the United States.

Mathias Sandberg's trio continue to bring jazz to the people, and has in the last two years played over 100 concerts in Finland (from Enontekiö in the north to Hanko in the south), Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The concert at Doo-Bop Club will showcase their unique blend of hard swingin', groovy and soulful jazz with strong melodic writing, rhythmically playful improvisation and a delightful, almost telepathic interplay between the three.
