In this relaxed concert, we return to the roots of much of the Western art music - folk music. In the welcoming atmosphere of the Doo-Bop Club, the audience is treated to klezmer, ragtime and Irish-inspired sounds, with the opportunity to enjoy refreshments from the bar. Trio Klezmera is a Vaasa-based ensemble that has long explored Jewish klezmer music’s expressions and traditions. With rich vocal harmonies and violins Chickadee performs songs and stories from the American old-time and folk music tradition rooted in the Appalachian region.
