Biological ӏ Phenomena explores the dynamic and mutually reflective relationships between nature and humanity, science and art. The exhibition turns its gaze toward the fragile ecosystem surrounding us and the cycle of life. It highlights the impacts of climate change in desert landscapes and the far reaches of Lapland, as well as the excessive habits of consumer society, while at the same time admiring, for instance, the nocturnal blossoming of the Queen of the Night and bearing witness to the inevitable course of natural processes despite human activity. Biological ӏ Phenomena contemplates the layers of biology and time, reaching far into the future.

The works of 26 artists and artist groups presented in the exhibition have been curated from the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation Collection, one of the most significant collections of Finnish contemporary art. Biological ӏ Phenomena is realized in collaboration with the art museums of Rovaniemi, Kajaani, and Riihimäki.
