Viking Day In a market setting, Viking-era crafts are displayed and taught. June 8, 2025, from 1 PM to 6 PM at the Kvarken Boat Museum in Åminne, Malax.
Join us on a journey back to the late Iron Age and step into the shoes of your ancestors.
In Malax, we gather to celebrate ancient culture through crafts, lectures, and hands-on activities where you can try your hand at making everyday objects as they did in the past.
Explore the conflicts of old through warships, fencing shows, and tales of the ancient gods.
The program is designed for both children and adults. The event is free for those who want to browse the various stalls and listen to the lectures. If you wish to participate in the ancient crafts and activities, you can purchase an activity pass for 5€.
The Kvarken Boat Museum opens its doors to all visitors on Viking Day for free.
A grill and restaurant are located next to the museum.
