Finally, groundbreaking discoveries about the fascinating folk art painting in our local area are being presented, focusing on the influential Mårten Lassus and his followers.
Completely new information, fresh from the sources, will be revealed! Join us on a journey through time, from Nykarleby to Vörå, and discover the local painters who worked between 1820 and 1880. The lecture by Raul Pohjonen highlights not only Mårten Lassus himself, but also his son and grandson, as well as the exciting contributions of Målare Jepp, Målare Petter, Johan Gummerus, and Mickel Lundberg.
